The ExETP (Electronic Travel Pedal System with External Damping) replicates the smooth, predictable feel of a hydraulic travel pedal system in an electronic control unit, designed specifically for excavator applications. It uses the vSENSE Hall effect non-contact sensor and an external damping mechanism to deliver operator comfort and confidence without hydraulic complexity. In excavators and similar tracked machines, travel pedals control forward and reverse track movement and are operated in demanding, high-cycle environments where feel consistency is critical to operator confidence. The ExETP's external damping - configured to perform at -40°C to +85°C - and integrated central detent solve the common problem of mushy or inconsistent pedal feedback when transitioning from hydraulic to electronic control systems, enabling OEMs to electrify platforms without compromising the operator experience.
