Motor Controls
Motor controls regulate torque, speed and direction while coordinating protection, feedback and vehicle communications. The correct controller depends on motor technology, voltage, current, control method, safety functions and environmental demands.

Motor controllers
One Controller Platform, Many Motor Types
Our motor controllers, built with DMC, handle the full range of three-phase motor technologies we work with — permanent magnet synchronous (PMSM), interior permanent magnet (IPM), reluctance (PMAC) and switched reluctance (SRM) — across applications from material handling and off-highway machines to forklifts and marine equipment. The same controller switches between speed and torque control depending on whether it's driving traction or a pump, supports sensorless operation, and can take on vehicle control unit duties on smaller vehicles with no separate VCU required. It integrates directly with battery management systems from Micropower, Vanguard, Cellpower, Flash Battery and Lionic, and communicates with the rest of the vehicle over CANopen or J1939.
